Year 2 Gravesend Library Visit

On the 10th and 12th May Year 2 visited Gravesend library linking the trip to their “My Town, Then and Now” topic. Looking at how buildings have changed over the years in their local community. They looked at how the old buildings are different from modern ones in their design and in the materials, they are made from? What evidence is there of buildings aging? How do we know if something is old or in an old style? Looking at lots of historic records (e.g. maps, photographs, etc.) of the local area, which might support their research.

Year 6 have worked incredibly hard this week and should be extremely proud of themselves!

Year 4- Land, Sea and Sky

Today, as part of our topic Land, Sea and Sky, Year 4 were learning about the water cycle.  After learning the key stages, we used a sandwich bag, whiteboard markers and coloured water to create our own mini water cycles.  We have left them in the sun to ensure evaporation can occur so we can observe condensation and precipitation in action!
