Safer Internet Day 2021 Competition
Next Tuesday is Safer Internet Day 2021. The theme for this year is: ‘An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world’.
To enter the competition, you will need to create either a leaflet or a poster on Purple Mash that explains why it is important to check that what we read online is reliable. This can be found in your 2Dos section. You leaflet/poster will need to answer the following questions: What do we mean by a reliable source? How can we tell if something online is reliable? What should we do if we believe that the information is unreliable? You could also add in extra information, explaining why it is important that we stay safe online.
Here are some links to websites that could help you (please go through these with an adult at home):

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/live-lessons/safer-internet-day-live-lesson/zdh2wnb
(This lesson will go live on Tuesday morning).
Please save your work on Purple Mash as your name. Follow the guide on our Purple Mash blog for sharing your work to the whole-school display board.
The competition will end on Friday 12th February at 9am. Mr Alderson will be selecting a winner and the winning leaflet/poster will be shared on the school website.
I know this is a long email, but I think it is really important that, as a school, we celebrate Safer Internet Day 2021!
Many thanks!
