Thank you PTA

I would like to pass on a very big thank you for your incredible support this year, who have helped raise a great deal of money for the school.

We couldn't have done it without all the volunteers that have helped us along the way. Your continued support is very much appreciated.

This Summer Break

 Dear all,

We have put together this short 'Sway' to share with young people and their parents to let them know about the support that is available to keep them emotionally well this summer.  It includes links to sites for resources, information about services that are available for young people to access directly, and how to find out about local activities and events taking place throughout the summer.

Reminder Monday and Tuesday Weather Warning

We are expecting very high temperatures next week and we aim to ensure your child is well protected from the heat whilst at school.

Pupils are welcome to wear PE kit, to keep them cool, over the next 2 days.

Before School:

·      Please ensure sunscreen is applied before arriving at school,

·      Your child must bring a full water bottle, which they can refill during the day.

·      Students should also bring a sun hat.

During School:

·      Pupils will be kept inside on Monday and Tuesday with additional space used inside the building (Hall/ Canteen/ ICT room). During the rest of week, if the heat is excessive during break times, alternative activities will be arranged for your child in a classroom space.

·      Pupils will be directed to keep water bottles with them in the classroom and will be encouraged to drink at regular intervals.

·      Students will be permitted to refill bottles at break, lunchtime or between lessons.

·      Students will be reminded to wear their sunhat and have water bottles with them when outside.

Year 5

Yesterday, 5A finished planting the thyme and mint in our allotment bed and ensured that the plants were thoroughly watered. The children enjoyed experiencing the scents that the plants produce. Year 5 will continue to water plants regularly.
