Dogs Trust Workshops Today

On Tuesday 26th April Year 1,2,3 and 4 had a visit from the Dugs Trust Charity . Every year  they work with thousands of children to encourage positive attitudes and safe behaviours towards dogs, whilst also supporting the National Curriculum. Using dogs as a focus they deliver  workshops with a great deal of passion in creative and imaginative ways to ensure a memorable and positive learning experience. With nearly 9 million dogs in the UK, children will then develop an important and necessary understanding about safe and considerate behaviour around dogs they know and live with, and those they may see out and about in the community.

In IPC 6M are learning about The Maya Civilisation. Today, we were researching how people used to live whilst listening to some music from the times of the Maya. The children enjoyed having a discussion about how the music has changed over time, and explored what they would use to create the music and sounds.
