Year 3 IPC

This afternoon as the final part of our topic, we were looking at how islands have been homes and inspiration for great artists and architects across the world and throughout time. As a class we decided to look closer at the Statues on Easter Island. The children then recreated the statues in their sketch books.

Year 4 - IPC

In Year 4 we have been completing our Phoenix Challenge, designing our own Egyptian Headdresses. During our Enrichment lessons on Fridays, we have been assessing existing headdresses, creating mood boards for our own designs, designing our own and finally this week, during IPC, we have been making them! We created our shape using cardboard and paper mache.

Number Day 2020

Some year groups  had to complete their own time board game, using digital and analogue clocks. Others very carefully, in groups, arranged themselves to represent different numbers! Some year groups solved maths problems and some considered 'a world without numbers' and the challenges we would face! Also, children were introduced to 'magic tricks' they could do with numbers, which I am sure they will go home and trial.

Number Day This Friday

On Friday 7th February, our children and staff will be taking part in the NSPCC Number Day. We will join thousands of schools for a mega maths-inspired fundraising day to raise money for the NSPCC. We would like the children to come dressed in something that represents a number – this could be dots or stripes, a numeral or the number in words. We ask for a voluntary donation of £1, which will be donated to the NSPCC. Thank you in advance for your support.
