Remembrance Day

The whole school had a 2 minutes silence today, to show respect and gratitude to the armed forces, past and present, who have lost their lives fighting for their country.

Year 2 today visited the war memorial. The children have been learning about their local history and painted poppies on pebbles, which they laid down by the statue, in honour of all those who served in the war.

Year 2

The children had their entry point for ‘Time Travellers’. Children enjoyed dressing up as people of the past. The children took part in a catwalk where the teacher read three facts about them and the children had to guess who they were. At the end, it was then unveiled who each child was dressed up as. Then the children enjoyed listening to music from different famous people from the past and having a little dance.
