Dogs Trust Visit Today

My name is Paddy and I work for Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity.

I visited Wrotham Road Primary School today to help the children learn how to be safe & responsible around dogs!

Here are a few facts you might want to know about me :
  • I am a cross-breed and I am  very friendly- sometimes I lick people to say hello!
  • I am  5 years old and can sometimes get a little giddy! Please be careful and considerate so as not to scare me or get me over-excited.
  • If you want to stroke me, you first need to learn how to do so safely. My owner will show you how during your workshop.
  • My three favourite things are toys, food and people

Year 6 Parents Information

Applying for Secondary School

If your child is due to start secondary school in September 2019 you will need to apply on-line.  Applications will be open in September and the national closing date for applications is the 31st October 2018.

You can apply for up to 4 schools, putting them in order of preference. It's in your best interests to list 4 schools. Naming only one school does not guarantee your child a place at that school or give your child priority for a place over another child, neither does naming a school more than once.

It is important to check whether any of your chosen secondary schools require a Supplementary Form to be completed. This must be returned directly to the school being applied for.

Spanish Day

Monday 16 July 2018

Spanish Day Is This Friday

Children will be encouraged to come to school wearing the red and yellow of the Spanish flag or Spanish clothing including Spanish football kits, however, we would appreciate it if children avoided wearing English football kits on this occasion.

We also have flamenco workshops for all pupils in the school where they will be introduced to the history of this art form, before giving a live demonstration.  The children will then have the opportunity to listen to flamenco instruments and become familiar with the accessories they use.  They will find out about rhythm, co-ordination, basic posture, arm and feet movements and also learn some basic Spanish.

The cost of the day will be £2 per child
