Composer Of The Week

Schubert

(1797–1828)

  • Schubert was an Austrian composer
  • He wrote over 1000 pieces of music, even though he only lived to the age of 31!
  • He wrote over 600 songs! Some of these are among the greatest songs ever written.
  • His ‘Unfinished’ Symphony really is unfinished and was discovered by surprise after Schubert died. It is one of his greatest works, but he didn’t even tell his friends that he was writing it!

Nursery

We had a wonderful time on the new balance bricks and seesaws today!

Thunk!

A ‘Thunk’ is a question about everyday things that stops you in your tracks and helps you start to look at the world in a whole new light....

There are no right or wrong answers

Don’t just say the first thing that comes into your head
Think deeply
Be prepared to fully explain your ideas
Ask others for their opinions
Respond to their ideas
