Last week Reception spent the whole week learning about Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year
We looked at the traditional tale associating with the animals and how the Chinese New Year as we know it began.Children explored chopsticks, Chinese calligraphy and numbers, as well as trying fortune cookies, writing their own fortune messages and having a go at eating noodles!
The children spent the week creating their own dragons and on Friday we had a Chinese Dragon Dance!

Number Day - This Friday
Number Day is on Friday 3rd February 2023. Children can come to school wearing something with a number on it and donate £1 for NSPCC.

Year 6
Yesterday, Y6 went on a hunt for historians. They had to decode riddles in order to find the locate of historians hidden around our school. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and learnt a lot about famous historians!

This morning Year 2 had a fun filled time exploring the different play equipment at Woodlands Park. We were specifically looking at push and pull forces used. The children all had a great time!
