Dates for your diary!

Pupil book look in your child's classroom this Wednesday.

We will be holding a class open session on Wednesday 3rd November from 3.30-4pm. This is an opportunity for you to come into the school and look at your child’s books in their classroom the week before the parents evening. We hope you will be able to attend.

 This Friday is Diwali Day.

Come to school dressed in traditional clothes or brightly coloured clothes for the day.

Year 4 at the farm!

Today was the last day at the farm for Group One in Year 4. It was our job to take care of the calves, alpacas and lambs. It was hard work feeding them, getting them new bedding for their huts and then mucking out their enclosure! We’ve had a great first term at Curly’s Farm and were sad to say goodbye to Hollie!

Half Term

Have a wonderful half term, we return on Tuesday 2nd November.

(Monday is an INSET DAY)

Star Mathematicians

Well done to all the Star Mathematicians for this term, from Nursery to Year 6. You have all worked extremely hard and should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Keep your Star Bows safe to hand over next term!

Harvest Festival

A big thank you to everyone who sent in donations for our Harvest Festival this week. The food will be taken to the Gravesend Foodbank over half term!

In Year 3 we learnt about the value of harvest festival and had a blast singing our harvest song ‘Let it Grow’

Children in Year 2 were retelling the enormous turnip (Enormous turnip song). The children created headbands and decorated them with veg and fruit that are harvested in autumn.
We were so proud of the generosity of the Reception families. Look how much they donated!
The children listened to a story about a food bank, then sang the story, What do we do at Harvest time, complete with Bhangra style actions!

Today in Nursery we looked at the book 'It's a No Money Day' by Kate Milner. We spoke about the food we were donating for Harvest Festival and how it was being taken to the Foodbank. Nursery all agreed that we should help to make sure everyone has enough food and full bellies!

Year 3

For Year 3’s exit point we had a great time designing and making a game with an electrical component. We thought of some general knowledge questions, made a circuit with a buzzer and played in groups!

We are designed our own lighthouses in DT
