Number Day

This Friday is "Number Day"

We are joining thousands of schools across the UK for a maths-inspired fund raising day for the NSPCC.
This Friday we will be taking part in 'Dress up for Digits.'
Pupils are invited to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!)

We are asking for a donation of £1.

Composer Of The Week

Frédéric François Chopin

Chopin was a Polish composer and pianist.
He was very well known for his piano music. The music he composed was either for solo piano, or for piano with other instruments. He composed lots of short pieces, such as etudes, nocturnes, mazurkas, waltzes and polonaises.

Composer Of The Week

Schubert

(1797–1828)

  • Schubert was an Austrian composer
  • He wrote over 1000 pieces of music, even though he only lived to the age of 31!
  • He wrote over 600 songs! Some of these are among the greatest songs ever written.
  • His ‘Unfinished’ Symphony really is unfinished and was discovered by surprise after Schubert died. It is one of his greatest works, but he didn’t even tell his friends that he was writing it!

Nursery

We had a wonderful time on the new balance bricks and seesaws today!
